Simply one of the best highlights about the XBox 360 will have to be G.R.A.W, a game of sheer beauty and the thrill of killing renegade Mexican traitors with cutting-edge technologies is just a blessing from Tom Clancy's subdued conscience, but hey I'm not going to complain, the game is brutally awesome on so many levels.
The story here (as far as I've gotten thus far) is stolen U.S. military surveillance hardware has fallen into the hands of Nicaraguan rebels, however...elsewhere the Canadian prime minister and the Mexican and American presidents are announcing a new treaty: NAJSA. Which means North American Joint Security Agreement, but a rather crazed Mexican general has another idea...
The Canadian prime minister is killed, the American president is missing, Capt. Scott Mitchell (you) and your elite Ghost team are first on the job and you have approximately 48 hours to rescue the U.S. president (from whereever he turns up), cut down insurgency, and destroy the source.
Aside from the story as I know it, let's get down to some of the weapons, these weapons are enough to have you playing the game alone, if not for the superior realistic army gameplay, the weapons will definitely draw you in. Most notably, what drew me in was the Cross-Com, what is this Cross-Com you ask?
Well, I'll tell you what it is...
The Cross-Com is a communication device that establishes a satellite link that enables you to receive tactical info from your fellow Ghost's and support, and give out orders, giving out orders is a real treat...especially in this sense, it gives a whole new turnabout to controlling your squad. And on a side note, not only can you instruct your fellow Ghost's, but you can also instruct reinforcements in the form of tanks and helicopters (I'm sure there's more but I'm not that far yet).
From the Cross-Com you can switch between two different tactic modes....Recon and Assault, which is pretty self-explanatory. All you need to do is point your fellow Ghost's in the direction you want them to attack or where you want them to go and all is well.
Another pin-point is the Counter-snipe rifle, a rifle that can pierce through thin walls (which gives you a helluva lot more freedom when under serious gunfire). When you're hard-pressed so to say and you're near a thin wall, just turn about and make way to aim through the wall (that's right through the wall) and shoot the living hell out of that Mexican rebel.
I'll reveal more as I progress, but until then this is my review for G.R.A.W, comments wanted.
