If you don't recognize this slogan it could mean one of three things:
1. You didn't watch and/or attend this year's E3.
2. You didn't care to listen on Microsoft's part of speech (i.e. Maybe you're a Sony or Nintendo fanboy.)
3. You just don't care.
In any case this slogan is from Bungie's own coveted cream-of-the-crop title Halo 3. Halo 3 will be the game to get for the Xbox 360 when it launches next year. For one thing the trailer...teaser to be more exact was an extreme case of awesomeness. There's something about it that gives you the chills. It's just so good that it sends a rather cold chill down your spine...that's what we call excitement.
Halo 3 will be the last in this current story arc which brings up an interesting question...will Bungie begin a new story arc that will introduce new Spartans? I mean they do exist just read the graphic novels and see for yourself...Master Chief isn't the only badass around, but maybe he's the most significant one. In any case the trailer begins with a sudden white flash and a powerful orchestral piece, which really gets you into the moment of watching this trailer and making you feel as if you had a part in it's purist of excellency.
You then see a rather dry desert area...a few miles inland of what used to be New Mombasa which was destroyed in Halo 2 if you didn't know or forgot for that matter. Through the smoke and rubble promptly arrives Master Chief -- the man himself and he's holding what looks to be an MA5B Assault Rifle, which is of course from the very first Halo. Bungie execs claim is doesn't have such a significant resemblance...so, it may very well just be a variation of some kind. The gloves on Chief's armor also appears to be modified, possibly hinting at some upgrade to the MJOLNIR armor he so proudly wears. I won't go into the full details of the trailer instead I'll post a link to allow you to see it for yourself and get that chill of significant gratuitous excitement.
It is said, or rather speculated that due to Bungie's fixation of the number 7 in other games Halo 3 will launch into our lives July 7th, 2007 (07/07/07). Who knows maybe Halo 3 will launch earlier, I somewhat still believe it's going to launch alongside the PS3. If so one has to think - What about Gears of War? Well, I'm sorry CliffyB but not even you can fight off Halo 3 especially with it's legion of hardcore followers...Locust will become obselete and everyone's favorite new word will be "Covenant." To be more exact "Covenant in HD."
