Such an awesome board...where does one begin? How about this is the first Lanparty (and for that matter first motherboard that I can currently remember) to have the CPU socket and memory slots have switched positions to accomodate new power circuitry design. The repositioning of the CPU socket means it's now next to the area where the power is generated. Outting the power circuitry next to the CPU socket means there's lss power loss, leakage, and interference, and should result in a more stable power supply for the CPU. This should (should) result in great overclocking capability.
DFI has included MemTest86 into the equation, which allows you to, with one switch, have the board boot straight into the MemTest86 program and run a series of tests to determine how stable your overclock is, another goodie is CMOS Reloaded a true innovation for the brute overclocker in us all. CMOS Reloaded (if you don't know already) allows you to save different BIOS settings as profiles (awesome huh?), so you can ditch and switch between overclocks when gaming or working, or even storing settings that you know work. With CMOS Reloaded it's very easy to recover from overambitious overclocks.
This is for the Nvidia nuts out there, but for us ATI guys...DFI offers the Lanparty UT RDX200 CF-DR. In which I'll cover another time. Until then...read, comment, and enjoy!
