Well, let's see...the PS3 launches in November supposedly. It's biting off of both the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Revolution...for something that's claiming to be "far superior" it certainly isn't totally original.
There are already 230 games signed for the PS3, and while that may be a lot of games for a system that hasn't even come out yet....you have to remember that little manufacturer warning "Subject to change."
...I have spoken, feel thy wrath of the PC!

Yeah, subject to change, but it's unrealistic that it will change.
I agree that the PC is the ultimate machine for gaming, but .. that's a whole different issue.
As far as these consoles go. PS3 shall unleash its own wrath, and all you Nintendo fanboys will weep into your Nintendo DS's with custom pillow-attachment.

You know what I don't hear anyone saying? I don't hear anyone saying the PSP is better than the DS, or a Gameboy for that matter.
Why am I saying this? It proves power and newer technologies mean jack shit, for if they did...the PSP wouldn't have such suck ass commercials and such suck ass games...and such a suck ass design. But enough with the personal issues, my point here is it's not about what the PS3 packs, but how it uses it's "newer" technologies.
Again, I have spoken....

Again, I don't even care about the PSP, I'm not even supporting the PSP, I think it's total crap, actually. All I'm saying is that you Nintendo fanboys will be crying into your Nintendo DS's.
It'll have more games, and the games are what matter, right? Isn't that why the DS PWNs the PSP?
HA HA HA
I HAVE SPOKEN.

This may very well be true, and yes the DS does pwn the PSP by the way. =P
Maybe if PS3 can dish out something...really, really, really good...I'll buy it, maybe. Possibly.

Well, I'm buying it. Because of the games, not because of its hardware specifications.

Seems like nowadays everyone's like.. "My private eye is so much bigger than yours." As far as console power goes. It's ridiculous.

I will commend for Sony for one thing, though. Taking an idea first used by Nintendo with the Matsuhito or whatever it was called, Disc for the Gamecube and using that for the Blu-ray BD-ROM.
...That's an innovation, a small disc like that packing 50GB/s. I've only got one thing to say....w00t.

Wow... 230 games... Looks like Sony's going all out for the PS3, and is taking no prisoners... That Blu-Ray is a mamoth in gaming, it's like giving an ant radiation... The new Final Fantasys are going to be long as hell...

Most games today, even with high dynamic range lighting and all (in which Valve said that it would take another 3-4GB to the already 4GB that Half-Life 2 takes up to make HL-2 all high dynamic range lighting) they won't stress out a DVD.
For a while, I'm lead to believe Sony will put in multi-langual settings for the region free that PS3 sports. So that would probably fill up a good 10GB.

You're right the new Final Fantasy games will be long as hell.
In that case... they'll all be long as hell - that is... every game,
